If you don't have a fireplace, this may be a fair substitute. Send out to your tv and play acracklin fire audio clip at the same time. Then if you get silly enough, you might enjoy it.

Shields Up
Without your knowledge or explicit permission, the Windows networking technology which connects your computer to the Internet may be offering some or all of your computer's data to the entire world at this very moment!
P.S.all of my ports are and have been for years, invisible to the internet at large.
If yours are not, time to check your firewall!

Unplug N Pray
Disable Windows universal plug n play.
Excerpt from this site's page:
Universal Plug & Play is not related to the established Plug & Play hardware standard for PCs. Microsoft presumably adopted the name "Universal Plug & Play" because it is a warm and fuzzy feel-good name. A more descriptive name would have been "Network Plug & Play" since that is exactly what it is.
BTW the author of this tiny and nifty program suggests that after one disables the upnp,to check again every once in awhile. Which is what I did and much to my surprise , I found it turned on when I had previously turne it off.
